Rev. Daniel Boadi |
Being filled with the Holy Spirit is not only a command but also a promise. The Holy Spirit can use whoever will allow him/herself to be filled being young or old.
Baptism / infilling are similar but different. Baptism comes once after confession but infilling is continuous; daily. Any one who is continually filled with the Holy Spirit is always strong in the Lord.
Those filled with the Holy Spirit are conscious of the word of God and follow it. Samuel being filled with the Holy Spirit did not emulate the bed behaviour of the sons of Eli. Joseph being filled with the Holy Spirit did not give in to Portipher's wife's proposal.
He said, God has given our friends and colleagues to us as gifts. They are to help us in times of need.
He admonished the Junior Youth to allow God to bless them by giving their lives to God. He said, we should know where we are coming from and where we are going. Allowing friends to influence one's life negatively is a mistake one will always regret.
The Promise of God will always be done but we play a part in it's accomplishment.
